HADDENHAM

Last year two people took advantage of the Haddenham Dollshouse Fair and Exhibition to sell their excess miniatures, and then make a donation to the charities. They had a good day and enjoyed themselves.

If you would like to have a go at selling and running your own stall, we have a few spare tables that can be made available.

For more details please contact me. 07738 009795 or go through the Thame Fair website.

HADDENHAM DOLLSHOUSE AND MINIATURES EXHIBITION

Aylesbury Dolls House Club are planning a miniatures making table this year. Come along and have a go, you never know you may get the miniature bug.

Last year two enthusiasts had a stand and sold lots of their excess miniatures. They really enjoyed themselves and made a bit of money. If you, or maybe you and a friend think you would like a stand, please contact us via the Thame Dollshouse website about the availabilty of tables.

More details of the exhibition nearer the date.

Back to Fairs

I am now four weeks after a total knee replacement and really just want to get going as normal. Going to the folk club and the ukelele groups I go to. One slight problem though, I have not been told I can drive yet. Felicity has been very patient. I really don't do invalid well.

Plans for Haddenham Dolls House Fair and Exhibition are underway. More details will follow shortly.

Letters for Thame have been sent to stand holders, more information will be given as these are returned.

As usual a lot seems to have happened over the year. Certainly not a time to be complacent or under estimate what may or may not happen. Who knows what the next six months will bring.

Book these dates in your diary.

12th November 2016  Haddenham Dolls house Fair and Exhibition.

18th February 2017  Thame Dollshouse  and Miniatures Fair.

TDH&MF 2017

After discussion with the Thame Leisure Centre manager we have decided to move the date of the 2017 fair to the Saturday 18th February. The centre should have less other activities going on, which should mean that it is quieter. Put the date in your diary.

Money Raised

The money raised for Breast Cancer Now has been counted and banked, what an amazing total.  £3142.04.

Thank you to all of you who contributed in some way to help us reach this amount. With out your support this would not be possible.

THANKS

A big thank you to every one who contributed to the success of the dolls house and miniatures fair on Saturday. The volunteers were brilliant, tirelessly sorting and selling all day long. We should have some totals for you in the next few days.

We also hope stand holders had a good day. Despite it being a day where there were winners and losers, we hope you enjoyed the atmosphere and will now get lots of interest in your business. People are definitely beginning to shop differently, and internet shopping is changing the way  people shop. Book shops have had a revival, so maybe the tide will change with regard to fairs.

Lastly thank you to all those people who came through the door. Lots of you had lists, and we hope you found everything you wanted. There was certainly lots of variety and choice.

Getting Closer

Felicity has been making badges for the fair, quite a few new faces and returning faces among the exhibitors. Hopefully this will be reflected in the visitors, and the mild weather and slightly improved economy, will encourage them out and to spend.

The facebook page has had a lot of interest, and our likes have gone up. Please encourage friends and family to go on and like us, as this improves our rating with google.

Provisional date for next year is the Saturday 25th February 2017.

Haddenham Dollshouse and Miniatures Exhibition is the 12th November 2016. We have decided if it is going to make more of an impact, it needs to be a yearly event so that people can put it in their diaries or planners.

Well we hope you are all set for the 27th, and look forward to seeing you all then.

Not Long Now

We hope everyone is ready for Saturday the 27th February. We are putting some finishing touches to the arrangements. Some one is secretly helping us with the advertising and posters are appearing before we have gone to put them up. Thank you.

We are pleased to have a new artisan joining the show. This is Yumi Coyte of Yuminis, who makes 1/12th Chinese,Indian and Japanese food with paper bags, tinfoil lined bags and tinfoil containers. They look very authentic.

This year we have ten new stand holders in all, and some who are returning from a year off. This keeps the fair interesting and alive, and we hope, makes it a fair that people want to come to. Without the regular artisans though it would not be the same, so thank you to those of you who support us every year.

Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

Everything is almost in place for an excellent fair. Advertisements have appeared in the dolls house magazines, the facebook page is getting lots of attention, next stage is to advertise on the various internet pages, but first I need to go skiing. Felicity will be holding the fort and looking after the dogs, so please contact her if there are any questions next week.

We have had some excellent offers for the charity sales table and will be collecting these over the next few weeks. If you have stuff for the charity table please contact us or bring it on the day.

The charity is now called "breast cancer now". The breast cancer campaign merged with another cancer charity to make them more effective. We hope you will still give them your support.

Thank you to all of you who also advertise the fair on your own websites.
