Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

Just moving into the 22nd December. Lots to do before the family arrive, although one turned up two days early. Had to get another trout so he could have dinner too.

It is funny how miniatures manaqge to fill such a vast space. I seem to be filling the attic with things Felicity wants to move out of the other rooms in the house to make space for our visitors.

After Christmas we will reveal another exciting development to this years fair. But, do not forget to look at Celia's and Robins's contribution to the Breat Cancer Campaign.

Some spaces are still available for the workshops. Check them out after Christmas.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a big miniature New Year. All the Best for 2012. Felicity and Ron

Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

The list of standholders is now complete. Unless there are unforseen changes needed, the fair for February is finalised. However, last year due to health issues we were making changes up to a week before the fair.

We have a great line up of artisans for you, a veritable feast of expertise and skill for you to enjoy. Two weeks from now Christmas will be over and you can start to think about the real meaning of life and miniatures.

Do not forget to book your workshop place. How about giving a workshop to yourself for Christmas? Make sure you get something you really wanted.

Chateau Impney

We went to the dollshouse and miniatures fair at Impney today. Lots of the standholders who will be at Thame in February were there, and it was good to talk to them and catch up. Chateau Impney is a very nice venue and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Distance and travel time were almost the same as Miniatura.

HADDENHAM DOLLS HOUSE EXHIBITION

Well done to Freda and George Dorrell for putting on the exhibition yesterday in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Local Dolls House Clubs exhibited some superb work, and lots of ideas were exchanged about how this or that was achieved and what materials were used. A good day for checking out what is going on locally in the miniaturists world, and possibly even spreading the word  and encouraging some non miniaturists to have a go.

WHAT A MONTH

It has been a month of starts and stops, and it looks like this situation may continue for a while yet, as we deal with family matters.

I am pleased to report that details of workshops for the Sunday 19th February are almost finalised and ready to put on the website. We hope you will enjoy them. A good day was had by all last year and everyone enjoyed the day, as well as the lunch provided. The high standard set in 2011 looks set to contiue in 2012 so check out the details on the website. Parking is free and very convenient, and the venue has a disabled access if needed.

During the next few weeks we will be adding some more stand holders to the website. We have some new high quality standholders to support and add to the favourites you expect to see at the fair, so keep an eye on the website for more details. Once again it will be a fair that showcases some of the best artisans and miniaturists in the country.

Making time

After returning from holiday we have taken stock and discussed priorities. Standholders are still returning their booking forms for the Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair. There are still a few to come in before the website goes live again next month.

In the meantime we are making things and trying out some ideas. One project for a friends daughters wedding is very challenging, but we are learning as we go.

We still have to finalise the workshops for next February, but they will be quality. Watch this space for more details as they emerge.

The Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair 2012

We have had a very positive response from the standholders who have been invited. Not quite full yet but very close. Next step is to look at the workshops and check out if there is a weekend deal out there. Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair Weekend seems to sound right. It has to be quality though as that is what makes the fair special.

Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

We have already had a good number of Artisans signing up for next years fair and we are expecting to have a very good mix for February.

We should have a final total of the money raised for Breast Cancer Campaign in the next few days. The total will be posted here as soon as it is available.

The process of archiving last years fair begins and the next few days will be finishing the  paper work and then boxing it up ready for the attic.

Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

The first stand holders have already signed up for the fair on the 18th February 2012. It is going to be another excellent Fair with the same high quality of Artisans.

Workshops will be available on the Sunday. Watch this space for details.

Once again we will be raising money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Saturday 18th February 2012

This is date of next years fair. If you have any ideas on how we might improve the fair please tell us. Better car parking is not an option although we would like it to be.

We intend to maintain the quality of artisan/standholder that you all have become accustomed to. For Felicity and myself this is the key to the success of the fair and we have no intention of changing that. The Breast Cancer Campaign will again be the charity we support next year.

Put the date in your diary now. It is less than a year away.

Thame Dollshouse & Miniatures Fair

The time seems to have flashed by. Here we are 10 days away and still things to do. It will be alright on the day and we have a fantastic line up of Artisans who are at the top of their miniaturist game.

A few of the original exhibitors have had to pull out for personal reasons, but their places have been taken by equally excellent exhibitors.

There are still a few places left on the workshops.

We look forward to the day with relish.
