Getting Things Ready For Didcot Miniatures Fair

We are definitely out of practice. There are boxes of miniatures  piled up around the dining room table while we try to decide what to take  on Sunday. We knew what used to go well, but now we are having to think hard about what to take  and what we leave behind. I suppose it will take a few fairs to get back into the swing of it.

We have been advised to get a card reader as people supposedly do not carry cash. It was not so long ago when people carried rolls of notes when they went to Miniatura or Kensington. I just object to the fact that the banks encourage the cashless society because they make more money. Also it puts prices up.

No doubt by the end of the week we will be sorted and ready to go.

See you at Didcot on the 6th October.

Well Who Would Have Guessed

After what must be eight or ten yeas, we are putting our toes back into the miniature market place. This is both a little exciting and a little frightening because things have moved on quite a lot since we were last involved.

This has come about due to a number of things that have happened. Felicity found a box of unfinished carpets and cushions she decided to finish. I decided to go through some stuff in the attic and found there were things up there we had been ignoring and consequently forgotten about. We had also been to one of the Miniatures Fairs in Kidlington, which had rekindled our interest.

After looking at the boxes of miniatures and checking things for quality. We always tried to maintain a high standard when we organised the Thame Dolls House and Miniatures Fair and sold at fairs. We discussed what we might do and were we up for another foray into the miniature market. So, here we are, and as Willie Nelson sings, we are  Back On The Road Again.

Please come and say hello at the fair in Didcot on the 6th October. Due to flooding in Kidlington it has been moved to Didcot at short notice. Rebecca dealt with a difficult situation very swiftly. We look forward to seeing you.
